Small Talk Skills Building Successful Relationships Effortlessly (Audible Audio Edition) Jacob Andrews Dave Wright Jason Cannon Books
Small talk has never been my thing. I am introverted by nature - not shy or timid, but simply prefer not to chit-chat with others over meaningless and trivial matters. However, I do realize society places and emphasis on making small talk at parties, networking events, and in the workplace. As such, it’s always a good idea to be prepared for such encounters and this book helps do just that.In this well-written guide, you will learn a great deal about communication, active listening and tactical conversation skills. Simple concepts like smiling and making a good first impression are extremely important when beginning a conversation with someone. The author also covers non-verbal cues during interpersonal communication to help you decode unspoken messages within a conversation thereby eliminating or heading off misunderstandings. The author also includes an entire chapter on social anxiety and communication apprehension. This is especially helpful for those who feel uncomfortable at social or business events. Who, me?

Right to the point.made me happy to find it and read it
I very fast and easy-to-read introduction to the importance of everyday communication.
This was a good book on the importance of communication, but had very little in it on "Small Talk". I felt the title was misleading.
